Reine Neugierde. Irgendwie war ich geschockt, ich hatte tats\u00e4chlich kaum ein Buch von den Bestsellerlisten gelesen. Nur ein oder zwei. Von \u00fcber f\u00fcnfzig B\u00fcchern aus vier Kategorien! Warum? Diese Frage habe ich mir gestellt. Lese ich etwa so Non-Mainstream? Verpasse ich etwa alle guten B\u00fccher? Deshalb dreht sich heute alles um die Frage: wie Mainstream lese ich?<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><b>Bestsellerlisten<\/b><br \/>\nB\u00fccher von Bestsellerlisten habe ich selten gelesen. Woran das liegt? Ganz einfach. Entweder rezensiere ich nicht f\u00fcr die Verlage oder die Verlage f\u00fcr welche ich rezensiere vergeben f\u00fcr ihre Spitzentitel nicht oft Rezensionsexemplare an mich. Was es jedoch \u00f6fters mal gibt, dass ich B\u00fccher lese bevor sie auf irgendwelchen Bestsellerlisten auftreten, weil ich vom Verlag ausgesucht wurde um f\u00fcr das Buch zu werben. Was es auch gibt ist, dass ich B\u00fccher, erst lange Zeit nachdem sie von jedem gelesen wurden, lese. Meist h\u00e4ngt das damit zusammen, dass ich zuvor keine Zeit hatte die B\u00fccher zu lesen, welche ich mir selbst gekauft hatte. Als Beispiel kann ich daf\u00fcr \u00abBer\u00fchre mich. Nicht\u00bb, \u00abIlluminae\u00bb oder \u00abSilberschwingen\u00bb nenne. Und da gibt es noch hundert weitere B\u00fccher! Doch bei wie vielen dieser Hypes ziehe ich mit? Bei nicht allzu vielen, wie ich bemerkt habe. Bei einigen schon. Zum Beispiel bei Mona Kasten. Da ziehe ich einfach mit, weil ich die Autorin und ihre B\u00fccher mag. Bei anderen \u00fcberhaupt nicht. Ich muss nicht immer alles lesen, was alle anderen lesen. Manche B\u00fccher sprechen mich nicht an, manche erscheinen in Verlagen f\u00fcr welche ich nicht rezensiere und andere will ich einfach nicht lesen, weil ich bei Hypes nicht gerne nachziehen. Entweder bin ich von Beginn an mit dabei oder ich steige nicht mehr ein.<\/p>\n<p>Bedeutet das nun, dass ich komplett Non-Mainstream lese? Nein! Ich lese einfach viele B\u00fccher welche es nicht auf die Bestsellerlisten schaffen oder von der Buchcommunity gehypet werden. Das finde ich pers\u00f6nlich gar nicht so schlimm. Ich bin eben kein Fan von den grossangepriesenen Spitzentiteln der Verlag (mit Ausnahmen nat\u00fcrlich!) und ich mache nur bei Hypes mit, wenn ich diese auch nachvollziehen kann. Abschliessend kann man sagen, dass ich kein Mainstream-Leser, aber auch kein absoluter Non-Mainstream-Leser bin. Ich bin ein gutes Mittelmass und bin eigentlich ziemlich zufrieden, mit meinem Buchgeschmack. Vielleicht k\u00f6nnte ich mehr mitreden, wenn ich bei den Hypes mitmachen w\u00fcrde oder meine Leserzahlen w\u00e4ren besser, wenn ich mehr Bestsellertitel rezensieren w\u00fcrde. Wie seht ihr das? Seit ihr Mainstream-Leser?
